Job Responsibilities:
- As a Relationship Manager for SME and Trade Sales, you will maintain and deepen relationships with existing SME customers, understanding their business, financial needs, and trade requirements, to provide advisory support and offer Shariah-compliant banking solutions. Your role involves identifying and acquiring new SME customers, ensuring onboarding and financing processes strictly adhere to Shariah principles, internal policies, and SBP regulations, thus expanding the Bank’s Islamic Banking portfolio and achieving NTB growth targets.
- You will regularly review active lending relationships, monitor account conduct, repayment behavior, limit utilization, and trade transactions to proactively manage risk and optimize portfolio performance. Support on Islamic trade-related financing solutions such as Ijarah-based letters of credit, Murabaha, Salam, Musharaka, and Istisna guarantees will be part of your responsibilities, ensuring proper documentation and timely execution to facilitate customer business and enhance revenue generation.
- Additionally, you will scrutinize customer-submitted documents to identify potential risks and support Shariah-compliant credit decision-making. Preparing comprehensive RM packages and Credit Line Proposals, including risk assessments and Shariah compliance checks for review by the Unit Head and Risk Management Group, is essential for enabling informed credit decisions.
- This position also involves coordinating with Credit Admin, CAD, and CRM teams to ensure all credit-related documentation is properly maintained and Shariah-compliant exceptions resolved. You will ensure all SME relationships and financing arrangements fully comply with Shariah principles, the Bank’s internal policies, and SBP regulations, maintaining regulatory and Shariah compliance. Timely support for internal audits, Shariah compliance reviews, and regulatory inspections will be required to resolve observations and maintain adherence to required standards.
- Your continuous enhancement of knowledge regarding Islamic Banking financing modes will be crucial for effectively supporting the growth of the Bank’s Shariah-compliant SME and Trade portfolio. You will also prepare and submit reports/MIS regarding SME portfolio conduct, trade activities, and relationship performance for internal and external stakeholders, enabling monitoring, strategic planning, and compliance.
- Liaising with Head Office units, SBP, and Shariah Compliance teams will ensure timely provision of information and updates on SME relationships, maintaining transparency, accountability, and adherence to Islamic principles.
