Finance Division, Government of Pakistan is looking for the services of qualified and skilled professional for the position of “Assistant Manager (IT)” in Tax Policy Office Islamabad.
Details are as follows:
Position Title: Assistant Manager (IT)

Employment Status: Contract
Pay Scale: BPS-16
Age Limit: Up to 35 Years
Location: Islamabad
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- IT certifications (e.g., CCNA, MCSA, Comp-TIA Security+) are an advantage
Experience:
- Min 07 proven experience as an IT Network/ System Engineer, preferably in a think tank or similar setting.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols, web technologies, and systems administration.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network devices and servers.
- Familiarity with cyber-security best practices and data protection regulations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain the think tank’s local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN).
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and optimize network configurations.
- Administer and maintain the think tank’s website and web applications, ensuring their functionality, security, and performance.
- Provide IT support for online meetings/conference calls etc.
- Update website content and manage domain registrations and SSL certificates.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and software applications.
- Provide technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues promptly.
- Implement and maintain cyber-security measures to safeguard the think tank’s IT infrastructure from potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct regular security audits and monitor system logs for suspicious activities.
- Assist in IT equipment procurement, and maintain an inventory of IT assets, tracking hardware and software licenses.
- Conduct training sessions for staff members to enhance their IT knowledge and skills.
- Assume any other responsibility assigned by the management
