BCL is looking for a qualified professional for the position of “Structure Engineer” at Islamabad.
Details are as follows:
Position Title: Structure Engineer
Location: Islamabad
Position Purpose:
This position is responsible for doing all civil work related to solar field operations, like leveling, compaction, room construction, and designing structures for Solar PV Systems
Qualification and Experience:
- B.Sc. Civil Engineering from HEC recognized University.
- 02 to 04 years of relevant experience preferably in managing large scale Solar projects.
Specific Requirements:
- Proficient in SAP2000, CAD, ETABs, etc.
- Strong understanding of wind load considerations and structural analysis.
- Experience in project management and client relationship management.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
Job Description:
- Develop standardized structure packages for various PV module installations such as rooftops, PEB sheds, carports, shells, ground mounts etc. to optimize installation efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Design structures to withstand various wind speeds and capacities, ensuring structural integrity and safety.
- Responsible for optimizing structure designs to achieve cost-effective solutions without compromising quality and safety.
- Develop designs for both single and dual-axis tracking systems to maximize solar panel efficiency.
- Conduct structural analysis, generate Bills of Materials (BOM), and vet proposed structures with suppliers to ensure feasibility and compliance.
- Perform on-site structural inspections, verify materials, and ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- Manage project profitability, maintain client relationships, and ensure deadlines are met by collaborating cross-functionally with internal and external teams.
- Conduct on-site inspections to gather data on as-built conditions, ensuring conformity with design plans and standards.
