Planning & Development Board seeks applications from eligible and qualified individuals of Punjab Province for appointment against the position of “Environmental Legal Expert” under the ADP Scheme titled as “Climate Finance Unit, Punjab”.
Details are as follows:
Position: Environmental Legal Expert
No. of Positions: 01
Employment Status: Contract
Salary: 800,000 Per Month
Gender: Both
Age: 32 – 50
Qualification:
- Masters Degree in Law or a related field, with a focus on climate change, environmental policy, or sustainable development. (preference will be given to candidates with specialized knowledge and expertise in laws pertaining to climate change issues.)
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience (Pre and post qualification included) in Environmental Law
Job Description:
- Evaluate the compendium of normative legal acts in the country regulating climate change;
- Prepare gap analysis and propose recommendations on integrating climate change adaptation in existing legislative frameworks
- Prepare recommended amendments/changes to the existing legistlative framework with a view of strengthening focus on climate change adaptation and mitigation
- Adept at drafting international agreements with sound knowledge of international treaties in climate change and the rules governing such treaties.
