Position Title: Junior Advisor
Location: Islamabad
Project Description:
The project “Scaling Sustainable Energy Management Systems in Pakistani Cities” promotes the institutionalisation of systematic energy management in urban public institutions. It strengthens organisational and technical capacities to implement energy efficiency measures and achieve measurable energy savings. By supporting enabling frameworks and practical tools, the project contributes to reduced greenhouse gas emissions, improved municipal service delivery with particular focus on water supply and sanitation sector, and Pakistan’s climate objectives.
Required Qualification & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in engineering, economics or related field
- Up to 1 year comparable professional experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the implementation of inclusive policies and procedures in the assigned area of responsibility to avoid systematic biases or discrimination
- Actively engage in on-going self-reflection and continues to advance their knowledge and skills related to diversity, equity and inclusion
- Support AV and the Project team in the development of project operational plan in coordination with project partners
- Help the AV and advisors in implementation of project activities
- Document results and best practices achieved on professional format for sharing with broader stakeholders and partners
- Maintain record and update the overall information on energy management related to the project
- Support stakeholder coordination on federal and provincial level, including public and private sector
- Support the team regarding innovation and knowledge management
- Assist in providing technical inputs regarding energy management systems and energy efficiency measures, where necessary
- Support the organization and implementation of workshops, seminars, and other events on issues connected with the project’s area of activity
- Research and share relevant topics with the team and use that knowledge to improve the project interventions
