The Government of the Punjab, LG & CD Department has Established a Project Monitoring & Implementation Unit (PMIU-ITBMS) under IT-Based Monitoring System Project to enhance service delivery in entire local governments of the Punjab. The project aims to digitize local government functions such as HRMIS, Financial Management System & Asset Management (Immovable & Movable Asset), Pension Management System, E-Billing, ADP, Sanitation, Solid Waste Management, etc.
The Department seeks professionals for performance-based contracts till June 2027, which is further extendable based on Department Decision and satisfactory performance. The LGCD Department promises a great work environment and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
We are currently inviting applications for the position of Software Engineer, based in Lahore.
Details are as follows:
Position Title: Software Engineer

Age: 25 – 45 Years
Monthly Salary: 242,000
Qualification & Experience:
- Minimum 16 Years of Education with a Degree Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT or related from a reputed HEC recognized local or foreign Institution.
- Must have at least 4 years post-qualification experience in software development in PHP, Laravel, Angular and MySQL with a reputed IT organization. Must have good communication skills.
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience working with local governments in areas such as budgeting, financial management, accounting, Own-Source Revenue (OSR) collection, public accounts, and municipal asset management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Understand the requirements of overall project / module
- Design the architecture of the application & databases as per the requirement documents
- Write code to implement the required functionalities by the client
- Performance tuning of the code and database, if required
- Manage change requests, re-code & fixing of all bugs
