Beaconhouse National University (BNU) is Pakistan’s first not-for-profit Liberal Arts University, founded in 2003 to provide tertiary education in the arts, design, architecture, media, humanities and social sciences, business and information technology. BNU was awarded the degree awarding charter by the Government of the Punjab in 2005.
BNU is looking for a bright and energetic resource for the role of UI/UX Designer for its Department of Information Technology and Resource Center (ITRC) at Lahore.
Details are as follows:
Position Title: UI/UX Designer
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of professional experience in both UI/UX design and front-end web development
- Proven UI/UX design experience with a strong portfolio.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Familiarity with tools like Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
- Additional App Skills – Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, WordPress.
- Strong understanding of responsive design.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in team settings.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design easy-to-use and responsive layouts by creating user profiles, sketches, and clickable samples, while making sure they are accessible for everyone.
- Develop sitemaps and information architecture to organize content effectively and enhance usability.
- Create and maintain a consistent visual style through typography, colour schemes, iconography, and branding.
- Write clean HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to implement interactive, cross-browser compatible, and high-performance web interfaces.
- Collaborate with backend developers and iterate on designs based on feedback to continuously improve the user experience.
