Position: Chef
Employment Status: Contract
Age: Up to 45 Years
Required Experience:
- Proven experience as a chef with expertise in Pakistani, Chinese, Continental, Shinwari, Barbecue cuisines, and dessert preparation.
- Experience in menu planning and cost control.
- Formal culinary education or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with current food trends and dietary restrictions.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative flair with a passion for culinary innovation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Menu Development: Design and update menus that showcase a variety of dishes with balanced flavors and presentation.
- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Quality Control: Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure it meets the establishment’s standards.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the ordering and storage of ingredients, ensuring proper stock levels and minimizing waste.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations and a harmonious work environment.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Customer Interaction: Occasionally engage with guests to receive feedback and ensure satisfaction with culinary offerings.
