Job Purpose / Summary:
This position is responsible for ensuring smooth functioning of the Foreign Trade Department of the branch and support to Manager FT/Branch/Cluster Manager in achieving import and export targets of the branch. The position incumbent is also responsible for enhancing branch’s profitability, managing business development activities & customer relationship and ensuring full compliance with prescribed rules & regulation and shariah guidelines.
Job Specification/Requirements:
- Minimum 03 years of banking experience, with at least 1 year in assets/trade.
- Minimum Bachelor / preferably Master’s degree in Banking, Economics, Commerce or Business from HEC recognized institute or reputable foreign institute.
- Relevant professional development courses in Trade, Marketing & Risk Management would be an added advantage.
- Profound ability of trade risk analysis
- Skills in financial analysis
- Understanding of Limit Structuring mechanism
- Ability & skills in industry analysis
- Bank credit and trade policy and regulatory regulations
- Proficient in MS Office
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
- Ensure portfolio growth by marketing and initiating new relationships. Responsible for identifying and developing client relationships that allow for the sustainable growth and expansion of the trade business. Develops, generates, and follows-up in new client leads through referrals, and calls on existing clients to review portfolios and makes recommendations as needed and closing sales in addition to careful and proactive high level account/relationship management and extension.
- Oversee key accounts to remain current with developing clients’ needs and cross-sell Bank’s Products & services. Assist management in planning new initiatives for increasing Trade Business and ensure proper execution of the plans.
- Ensure to process all clients’ requests in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure that all parameters for risk evaluation are met and complied to / mitigated for. Seek approvals for exceptions to policy requests, taking action on identified high-risk accounts
- Coordinate with Central Foreign Trade Unit (CFTU), Treasury & International Division for ensuring timely completion of trade processing. Reconcile and maintain bank records and ensure accuracy of recorded statements.
- Prioritize and resolve any customer complaints as they arise. Identify recurring issues and develop / recommend processes to prevent issues arising. Monitor operational performance against performance standards to ensure that customers are not having any poor experience.
- Ensure strict compliance of key governance role & responsibilities specific to TBML framework. Ensure that updated manuals / circulars / policies are held on record and followed in true spirits. Ensure compliance to shariah guidelines, AML/KYC regulations/SOPs/policy, Fair treatment of customers and guidelines and achieve sound audit category in job related areas.
