Position Title: Expert Planning & Strategy
Location: Islamabad
Job Purpose:
The Expert Planning & Strategy role is part of the Marketing Planning and Strategy Department within the Marketing Department. This role is primarily responsible for the execution of marketing strategy, developing forecasts, and creating actionable insights for various marketing segments. The position reports directly to the Manager Planning & Strategy.
Additionally, the role will be responsible for building the complete income statement and cash flow for the Consumer SBU, starting from revenue all the way to costs and EFCF (Equity Free Cash Flow).
The role will also be responsible for evaluating strategic digital assets to assess their financial viability and contribution to business objectives. This will be done using various financial evaluation models, such as Discounted Cash Flows, ROI, Payback & IRR
Requirements:
- Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, or Accounting.
- Professional Qualification (Preferred): CA, ACCA, ACMA, or CIMA.
- Experience: 1–4 years of relevant work experience.
- Industry Experience (Preferred): Exposure to Telecom and Finance; international experience is a plus.
Skills & Expertise:
- Strong understanding of Performance Management frameworks.
- Knowledge of Marketing Spend evaluation and related ROI analysis.
- Sound understanding of the Telecom business model and key financial drivers.
- Expertise in Business Valuation, including financial modeling, discounted cash flow (DCF), and other valuation techniques.
- Advanced presentation skills, with expertise in developing executive-level PowerPoint decks.
- Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and departmental boundaries.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, PowerQuery, and Think-Cell.
Job Responsibilities:
- Liaison with FP&A team during forecasting cycles for locking of revenue related KPIs and achievement strategy.
- Comprehensive P&L analysis and reporting for the Consumer Division.
- Service-level margin tracking and monitoring against defined targets.
- End-to-end P&L forecasting for B2C and digital services to support target setting.
- Development and documentation of strategic frameworks for new digital verticals.
- Business case development for the acquisition of digital platforms and services.
- ROI analysis and performance evaluation of marketing campaigns.
