The position is for Mgr. Research & Development for SME Products. Key responsibilities are research on bank’s lending products for SMEs in line SBP Prudential Regulations. He will be responsible to identify/evaluate/analyze market trends/risks, conduct surveys and market research as per emerging requirements including digital products and finally preparation of thorough Research Reports.

Job Specification/Requirements:
- Minimum 05 years relevant experience in research and development banking / FinTech sector preferably with at least 01 published research in reputed journal (value added).
- Masters or equivalent from HEC approved institute or from a foreign reputable institute.
- Sound knowledge of Credits/Lending.
- Sound Knowledge of research methodologies and techniques.
- Well versed with SBP PRs.
- Familiar with research software’s and models.
- Good interpersonal skills / maintain good relationship with banking industry.
- Understanding of business models and financing processes.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
- Prepare thorough Research Reports in line with SBP Prudential Regulations, based on which new competitive SME lending products / end to end digital products will be developed/structured.
- Identify, evaluate and analyze market trends and risks regarding SMEs.
- Conduct surveys and market research as per emerging requirements.
- Identify marketing techniques to enhance SME Portfolio.
- Identify new areas/domains under SME segment for product development.
- Identify, evaluate and analyze end to end Digital Lending Products (clean & secured) to take initiative/advantage in banking industry, having use of Advanced Algorithms / AI, being adopted by peer banks (based on local and regional research like India, Bangladesh etc.)
- Well versed with latest developments & practices in regions like countries India, Bangladesh etc. w.r.t. SMEs.
- Collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to identify processes for improvement.
- Having potential to collaborate with various institutions like Banks / FinTech’s / Asian Development Bank / IFC etc. to conduct research for potential sectors (nation-wise & region-wise).
