Wateen seeks a qualified, self-motivated professional for the role of “Assistant Manager Presales” based in Karachi.
Details are as follows:

Location: Karachi

Position Summary:

The Assistant Manager Presales is responsible for delivering in-depth technical presales services and supporting the sales team in generating business opportunities. The role requires extensive engagement in technical sales cycles, including requirement gathering, solution design, presentations, and proposal development.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Industry-recognized certifications are highly preferred, especially Cisco CCNP, Huawei HCIP, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant presales experience in designing, presenting, and closing complex TCP/IP based networks.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience with Enterprise Networking, Collaboration, Security, Data Center, Cloud, and Managed Services.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco and Huawei technologies is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with presales cycles: requirement gathering, solution creation, presentations, and proposal defense.
  • Strong technical writing skills with experience in building customer documentation, including solution briefs and proposals.
  • Proficient in customer engagement, with excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all presales technical engagements with customers.
  • Provide technical expertise specifically in Cisco and Huawei networking solutions.
  • Demonstrate experience across additional vendors in networking, compute, cloud, and data center technologies.
  • Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof of concepts (POCs).
  • Stay current with assigned technologies and maintain technical competency.
  • Build and validate Bill of Materials (BOMs), Costing Models, Scope of Work (SOWs), Solution Presentations, and High-Level Designs (HLDs).
  • Collaborate with the sales team to formulate winning strategies and competitive positioning.
  • Draft model RFPs and respond effectively to customer RFPs and RFQs.
  • Conduct internal and external technical workshops and trainings.
  • Analyze competitor offerings and advise sales teams on differentiation and positioning.
  • Act as a technical lead for assigned opportunities and independently gather client requirements to craft suitable solutions.
  • Ensure high standards of documentation, communication, and follow-up with customers.
