Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation (PMDC) is a state-owned enterprise responsible for the exploration, mining and marketing of various minerals. Operates under the administrative control of Ministry of Energy, Petroleum Division, Government of Pakistan.
PMDC invites applications for the post of “Manager (Taxation)“ on open contract basis.
Details are as follows:
Position Title: Manager (Taxation)
Age: 40 Years
Qualification and Experience:
- MBA/ CA/CFA/CPA/ACCA/CMA
- 8 – 12 years in Corporate Business Taxation.
Key Job Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute taxation strategies for short-term and long-term for better decision making.
- Oversee financing agreements by negotiating favorable terms for PMDC. Ensure compliance with income tax, group sales tax, and customs regulations by managing all tax filings, ensuring timely resolution of any tax-related issues, and addressing notices received from tax authorities.
- Lead tax compliance and advisory activities by working closely with the Tax forum Specialist to manage tax audits, appeals, and compliance reporting, safeguarding PMDC from potential legal risks and penalties.
- Oversee tax-related communications with regulatory bodies, including the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and customs authorities, ensuring timely and effective responses to queries or investigations.
- Drive strategic financial decision-making by providing the CFO and senior leadership with insights into PMDC’s tax performance
