Details are as follows:
Position: Junior Software Support Engineer
Location: Rawalpindi
Age: Up to 55 Years
Selection Criteria:
A technically skilled Junior Software Support Engineer to provide Level 2/3 support for the NTOS application, developed in .NET Core with an Oracle Database backend. The candidate must have hands-on experience in writing and debugging SQL queries, analyzing code-level issues, and managing FTP workflows. Support requests are received primarily via email or ticketing system from WeBOC users.
Required Qualification & Experience:
- BS Computer Sciences / BS Software Engineering
- 5+ years in technical support roles with direct exposure to production systems.
Skills / Competencies:
- Strong command over Oracle SQL/PLSQL, including writing complex queries and procedures.
- Proficient in .NET Core and Angular-based applications.
- Experience working with FTP users, file automation, and error handling.
- Strong analytical and debugging capabilities across application and database layers.
- Clear, professional written communication (for email-based support).
Job Expectation:
- Provide advanced technical support by analyzing and resolving application, database, and integration issues.
- Write, optimize, and debug Oracle SQL/PLSQL queries, procedures, and functions to troubleshoot data-related issues.
- Investigate issues in the .NET Core backend and Angular frontend, including reviewing logs and tracing user activity.
- Troubleshoot FTP-related issues such as file transfers, access permissions, and integration failures.
- Respond to user issues reported via email (from Weboc) and ensure accurate, timely resolution.
- Collaborate with development teams for escalated issues requiring code fixes.
- Document recurring issues, technical resolutions, and support workflows for internal use.
- Guide and mentor Junior Support Engineers in debugging, database access, and application logic.
