Punjab Environment Protection & Climate Change Department is looking for the services of eligible professional of Punjab Province for the position of “Inspector (Environment)” across Punjab.
Details are as follows:
Position: Inspector (Environment / BS-13)
No. of Positions: 79
Location: Across Punjab
Pay Scale: BS-13
Employment Status: Contract
Gender: Both
Qualification:
- B.S (60% marks) in Environmental Sciences from a recognized University.
Job Responsibilities:
- To Conduct Survey for Environmental Issue, collection of samples site visit, analysis of various parameters, preparation of reports and monitoring of quality standards for both of industrial and domestic work.
- Inspection and monitoring of industrial units to evaluate their environmental performance;
- Take actions against polluter as per provisions of PEPA 1997 and respective rules / regulations / notifications or policies;
- Assist the officer in-charge to ensure Implementation of provisions of the Punjab Environmental Protection Act, 1997 and respective rules and regulations in the District;
- Assist the officer in-charge to review and process the applications of projects for issuance of Environmental Approval under Section 12 of Punjab Environmental Protection Act 1997
- Assist the officer in-charge to maintain effective liaison with other departments of the Government NGOs and industrial associations for better performance of EPA.
- To undertake any other duties or functions assigned by the competent authority as and when required.
