Job Opportunity at The Urban Unit: Hiring “HR Officer” (03 Positions) || March-2025

Exciting Job Opportunity at The Urban Unit.
The Urban Unit was established in 2005 as a Project Management Unit (PMU) of the Planning and Development Department under Government of the Punjab. In 2012, the PMU was transformed into an independent private sector company, registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), and is fully owned by Government of the Punjab.
The Urban Unit is looking for the services of exceptionally sound and self-motivated professional for the position of “HR Officer”.
Details are as follows:

Employment Status: Contract

Gender: Both

Age: 18 – 40

Qualification and Experience:

  • Minimum sixteen (16) years of education in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or Public Administration from an HEC recognized University.
  • 0 to 03  years of experience in recruitment & selection and HR operations.

Job Description:

  • Assisting in complete recruitment & selection cycle from advertisement to employee onboarding.
  • Receive and shortlist applications as per the advertised criteria.
  • Prepare long/shortlist of the applicants and perform initial screening process.
  • Coordinating with candidates during the hiring procedure.
  • Prepare Minutes of Meeting & Evaluation Sheet as per the recommendations of the HR Sub Committee
  • Maintaining soft and hard data of recruitment & selection i.e. approval notes, hiring minutes, JDs, Advertisements, PBECs etc.
  • After approval of hiring mimutes, processing job offer emails to the finalized candidates & keep a proper follow-up regarding their joining
  • Taking joining of new inductess (payroll staff, interns etc.) on employee data form and joining report and getting joining report signed by the respective task lead
  • Ensuring that new joiners provide complete documents i.e. educational documents, experience certificates, CNIC, picture, CV, Salary Slip any other required document
  • Orientation of new joiners
  • Preparing Contract letters of New joiners (payroll staff, interns, daily wagers, Field Staff)
  • Immediately after sending job offers, emailing IT & Admin Section inimating new joinings for making necessary arrangements
  • Preparing & updating vacancy data report on monthly basis
  • Perform any other task assigned by Manager/ Senior Manager – Human Capital Management.
  • Manage all internal and external communications for HCM Section regarding recruitment & selection
  • Scrutinize and prepare medical reimbursement case of employee(s), presentation and Medical Review Committee Minutes
  • Ensuring that the hard and soft record of all abovementioned activities are developed, maintained and updated timely and accurately. Maintenance of IRIS based scanned database shall also be ensured.
