Qualification and Experience:
- Sixteen years of formal education with a degree in Business Administration / Mass Communication / Journalism / Public Administration from a HEC recognized university.
- Minimum 8 years of working experience as Manager Communication in a well known and established pubic or private sector organization out of which minimum 2 years of experience as department head.
Job Responsibilities:
The Communications Director will plan, develop a strategic communications plan for the organization and will lead and participate in the execution of that plan. The Communications Director will play an integral role in promoting the company’s business.
- Responsible for creating, implementing, and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations program that will enhance the PHIMC’s image and position within the marketplace and the general public.
- Provide strategic leadership in the creation and implementation of impactful communication programs, internally and externally, across indications. This may include brand integration programs, branded communication activity, digital communications, and new product entries.
- Identify challenges and emerging issues faced by the organization. Work with the leadership team and staff to recognize internal and external communications opportunities and solutions and define and execute appropriate strategies to support them.
- Plans, develops, and implements communications projects and programs for the company to ensure consistency in message and support of goals and objectives.
- Responsible to facilitate internal and external communications and all Organization communications and public relations activities and materials, including publications, media relations, client acquisition and so forth.
- Develop short and Long-term plans and budgets for the marketing/ communications/ public relations program and its activities, monitor progress, assure adherence, and evaluate performance.
- Plan and execute a strategic internal communications plan that reinforces company values and promotes transparent communication.
- Develop, implement, and monitor systems and procedures necessary for the smooth operation of marketing/ communications/ public relations function.
- Keep informed of developments in the fields of marketing, communications and public relations, not-for-profit management and governance, and the specific business of the PHIMC and use this information to help the PHIMC operate with initiative and innovation.
- Develop and coordinate means to seek regular input from the Organization’s key constituencies regarding the quality of programs and services and the Organization’s relevance.
- Help formulate and administer policies to ensure the integrity of the organization.
- Direct & support the communication team to train the district health workers on the implementation of the plan.
- Responsible to design and develop public awareness campaigns both at provincial and district level.
- Maintain current and establish new measurement metrics and benchmarks for communications and external relations to improve visibility on progress.
