Planning & Development Board seeks applications from eligible and qualified individuals of Punjab Province for appointment against the position of “Environment and Social Standards Advisor” under the ADP Scheme titled as “Climate Finance Unit, Punjab”.
Details are as follows:
Position: Environment and Social Standards Advisor
No. of Positions: 01
Employment Status: Contract
Salary: 800,000 Per Month
Gender: Both
Age: 28 – 50
Qualification:
- A minimum of a Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences / Environmental Engineering, or a related field, with a strong emphasis on climate finance or green investments.
Experience:
- At least 7 years of relevant experience (Pre and post qualification included) in developing social and environmental management systems / framework for donor funded projects particularly world Bank, Asian Development Bank & Green Climate Fund or others.
- Demonstrated experience in developing financial instruments, engaging with financial institutions, and mobilizing resources for environmental or climate-related projects.
Job Description:
- Develop ESMS and/or ESMF for funding proposals
- Develop Gender Action Plans and integrate the gender and social inclusion requirements into the projects funding proposals
- Develop Stakeholders Engagement plans and frameworks and ensure timely stakeholders engagements for carbon credits and climate and carbon finance projects
- Develop E&S instruments as per the requirements of financing agencies
- Ensure monitoring and evaluation to validate the E&S compliance throughout the carbon cycle of projects
- Ensure the environment and social considerations are integrated in the projects feasibility reports and PC-Is and at projects identification stage
