Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives is looking for the services of qualified and self-motivated professional for the position of “Editor / Publications Specialist” at Islamabad.
Details are as follows:
Position Title: Editor / Publications Specialist

Employment Status: Contract
Age: Maximum 50 years as of deadline for application submission.

Qualification & Experience:
- Sixteen (16) years of education or equivalent preferably in Mass Communication, Media Studies, International Relations, Anthropology, Social Sciences, Information Technology, Public Policy, from HEC recognized university.
- Minimum 07 years post qualification experience in the relevant field.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise and create content for the social, electronic and print media campaigns;
- Create promotional material, story boards, presentations and prepare branding.
- Pitch the ideas and reshape them into creative stories. short documentaries storyline, blogs, articles:
- Write scripts for radio and television commercials, newspaper advertisements and social media substance;
- Develop marketing material such as brochures, flyers, catalogs, and other promotional materials;
- Review and edit content for spelling, grammar, and factual accuracy:
- Coordinate with the technical departments and write articles for the newspapers, periodicals published in the country and in the international media:
- Write and edit speeches for the federal minister or the prime minister, when needed;
- Liaise with the chiefs of the technical sections, prepare the year book, annual plan and other technical and financial documents that the planning commission publishes annually or from time to time;
- Act as the Content Editor of the weekly or monthly news bulletin in the paper and electronic formats:
- Supervise the scripts of weekly development review reports for the electronic, social and digital media,
- Edit press releases and research articles for onward publication in the newspapers and online platforms
- Manage and follow the content calendar
