Position Title: Deputy General Manager Sales
Location: Lahore
Position Description:
The Deputy General Manager (DGM) is responsible for driving regional sales growth by developing and executing strategic initiatives to achieve annual targets. This role requires strategic vision, operational acumen, and strong leadership to achieve revenue growth, ensure seamless execution across functions, and uphold service excellence standards. The DGM Sales will lead cross-functional collaboration to align sales efforts with broader business objectives, manage P&L responsibilities for the region, and ensure an optimal client experience across touchpoints.
Requirements and Experience:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree
- 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, or regional operations, preferably in retail, furniture, interior design, or construction industries.
- An engineer with a Sales Background is preferred
- Preferably Mechanical or the Civil Engineer
Skills & Behavior:
- Someone who has worked in selling building materials, tools and machinery
- Project Management experience
- Great leadership and communication skills
- Strong ability to drive sales growth, expand market reach, and achieve financial targets.
- Expertise in developing and implementing sales strategies to align with business objectives.
- Experience in monitoring regional projects, ensuring alignment with company standards and timelines.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies for both retail and corporate segments.
- Monitor market dynamics and adjust strategies to remain competitive.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key clients to drive retention, upselling, and long-term loyalty.
- Represent the company at key client meetings, business events, and industry forums.
- Supervise all sales activities and operations across retail outlets and corporate sales teams within the region.
- Ensure regional activities are aligned with company goals and SOPs.
- Manage regional sales budgets, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to meet financial objectives.
- Oversee pricing, discounting, and credit controls within approved policies.
- Lead and develop a high-performing sales team including showroom staff, key account managers, and business development personnel.
- Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and training to build team capacity and morale.
- Coordinate with Product Development, Marketing, Inventory, Visual Merchandising, Design, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to ensure sales initiatives are fully supported.
- Align inventory planning and demand forecasting with projected sales trends.
- Oversee customer feedback mechanisms and ensure timely resolution of issues in coordination with support departments.
- Recommend and implement improved SOPs and systems for greater productivity and service quality.
