Export-Import Bank of Pakistan (“EXIM Bank”) is set up by the Government of Pakistan, as Pakistan’s official Export Credit Agency, to support inter-alia the growth of exports and to undertake import substitution projects. EXIM Bank is looking for applications from interested and qualified professionals for the position of “Officer/Jr. Trainee Officer – Finance” at Islamabad and Karachi.
Details are as follows:
Position Title: Officer/Jr. Trainee Officer – Finance
Location: Islamabad, Karachi
Gender: Both
Age: 18 – 55
Qualification:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration or other relevant fields from a local or international university recognised by the Higher Education Commission(H.E.C.) of Pakistan. Relevant professional qualifications will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum 1(one) year of relevant experience in Accounts/Finance Department(s).
Competencies:
- Good analytical skills; experience in accounting and finance function
- Good computer literacy and inclination towards automation.
- Excellent team player and able to take up challenges.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure processing of vendor payments in E.R.P., in accordance with the policies of the bank. Ensure that withholding tax at source is deducted on the payment processed in accordance with the Income Tax Ordinance 2001, and timely submission of the W.H.T. (Income Tax and Sales Tax).
- Periodic bank reconciliations.
- Post Invoices related to Trade Credit Insurance business as and when required.
- Assist Line Manager to maintain financial records in accordance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, best practices, international accounting/financial reporting standards and other statutory requirements.
- Coordination with all business segments for Budget estimates.
- Prepare information for the Statutory regulator and ensure that all returns are submitted in a timely manner.
- The candidate needs to be self-motivated, take on and demand increasing levels of responsibility, result oriented and take pride in being part of the initial team setting up a premier development bank in Pakistan being created with the highest level of corporate governance and geared towards having a meaningful economic impact for Pakistan.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the line manager.
