Background:

Social Support for Afghan Refugees and Host Communities (SSARC)

Pakistan has one of the largest refugee populations. Most of the Afghan refugees live in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). A high percentage of vulnerable groups are exposed to various stress factors: uncertainties, lack of perspectives and livelihoods as well as trauma and violence. These factors have a direct impact on the peaceful coexistence between the Afghan and Pakistani communities and on the social wellbeing of individuals, families and communities. The project “Social Support for Afghan Refugees and Host Communities” aims to strengthen the capacity of relevant actors (professionals and key individuals who have regular interactions with vulnerable groups) and policy makers of Commissionerate for Afghan Refugees (CAR) and line ministries to address psychosocial needs of vulnerable target groups. 
Furthermore, the project offers psychosocial support services such as communal, cultural and sport activities and awareness sessions, mainly at “Cohesion Hubs” that shall be created for the vulnerable groups. The project will be implemented in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Education, economics or other relevant field.
  • Up to one year of experience in M+E and data collectiona and entry 
  • Up to 1 year work experience with vulnerable groups (Afghan refugees, women youth, and persons with disabilities)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively engage in on-going self-reflection and continue to advance knowledge and skills related to diversity, equity and inclusion 
  • Support in organizing and facilitating events, meetings, workshops and missions set up by the project and/or national/international consultants.
  • Set up registration forms for participants of events, workshops and meetings and ensure registrater of the participants. 
  • Ensure that tasks are carried out efficiently and with the required confidentiality within the assigned area of responsibility. 
  • Assist with preparing and organizing information material for meetings, events, and workshops
  • Document/prepare file for events, meetings, workshops and seminars. 
  • Contribute to the knowledge management of GIZ by compiling information related to assigned area of responsibility.
  • Support mangement and M+E specialist and M+E Junuior in updating a results-based monitoring (RBM) systems and practical implementation based on GIZ standards and guidelines.
  • Support in collection data either from implementing partners or beneficiaries 
  • Enter data of pre-, interim and post tests of the beneficiaries in to the project database.
  • Prepare filing of the documents (such as questionnnaires, proposals) of the beneficiaries in close coordination with the M+E specialist.
  • Develop monitoring templates together with the advisors. 
  • Assist in setting-up M+E trainings related to the project database for project staff.
