Export-Import Bank of Pakistan (“EXIM Bank”) is set up by the Government of Pakistan, as Pakistan’s official Export Credit Agency, to support inter-alia the growth of exports and to undertake import substitution projects. EXIM Bank is looking for applications from interested and qualified individuals for the position of “Junior Trainee Officer – Finance” at Islamabad.
Details are as follows:
Position Title: “Junior Trainee Officer – Finance”

Gender: Both
Age: 18 – 55
Qualification:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration or C.A. inter, A.C.C.A. qualified or other relevant fields from a leading local or international university recognised by the Higher Education Commission (H.E.C.) of Pakistan.
Experience:
- Minimum 2(two) years of relevant work experience
Competencies:
- Good analytical skills; experience in developing high quality financial models
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage relationships with all stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify issues and implement timely solutions.
- Command over Microsoft Excel, Word, and other office-based software tools for preparing reports, documents, and presentations.
- Good computer literacy and inclination towards automation.
- Ability to work independently and create goals and vision for delivery in ambiguous, difficult or new situations.
- Excellent team player and able to take up challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure completeness and correctness of closing adjusting entries in Oracle Financial.
- Maintenance of records as per regulatory & bank requirements.
- Posting of any adjusting or periodical adjusting entries.
- Bank Reconciliation.
- Ensure proper accounting, taxation, reconciliations and other accounting matters in day-to-day operations of the bank.
- Demonstrate knowledge of insurance accounting and relevant IFRS, etc.
- Assist Line Manager to maintain financial record in accordance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, best practices, international accounting/financial reporting standards and other statutory requirements.
- Assist Line Manager in development and implementation of Accounting Policies,
- Expenditure Policy & Financial Controls and related procedures.
- Coordination with all business segments for Budget estimates.
- Prepare information for the Statutory reporting to the State Bank of Pakistan and ensure that all returns are submitted in timely manner.
- Liaise with other departments for statutory disclosures as required by SBP and prepare information desired by various departments.
- Assist in the day-to-day accounting/reporting function.
- Any other task assigned by line management.
