Location: Islamabad
Qualification & Experience:
- Masters (Economics, public policy or a related field) from a reputed HEC recognized National / International University with one (1) year’ professional experience in the field of economic/ development.
- One (1) year’ professional experience in the field of economic/ development.
Core competencies:
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and statistical software.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Job Description:
Research Officer role is to support our mission of driving economic development and transformation initiatives. The incumbent will conduct comprehensive research, analyze data, and provide actionable insights that align with our strategic goals, specifically focusing on the 5Es – Economy, Education, Environment, Energy, and Equity. This position will play a vital role in shaping evidence based policies and programs that foster sustainable economic growth.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage research projects related to economic transformation.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to support decision-making.
- Assist in the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the impact of economic policies and programs.
- Review existing literature and data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities within the economic landscape.
- Compile research findings into comprehensive reports and policy briefs for stakeholders.
- Present data and conclusions clearly and effectively, using visual aids as necessary.
- Prepare briefing papers and presentations for senior management and government officials.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to gather insights and share findings.
- Engage with community organizations, academic institutions, and government agencies to disseminate research outcomes and gather feedback.
- Facilitate workshops, focus groups, and seminars to gather input and foster dialogue on economic issues.
- Contribute to the preparation of progress and evaluation reports for funding agencies and stakeholders.
- Identify policy gaps and opportunities related to the 5Es framework and recommend evidence-based strategies for economic advancement.
- Stay abreast of local, national, and global economic trends and developments to inform research and policy recommendations.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of research activities and findings.
- Assist in grant writing and funding proposals to support research initiatives.
- Any other task assigned by supervisor/Chief Economic Transformation Officer
