Location: Islamabad

Job Purpose:

The Head of Human Resources at Deodar will lead the HR function, focusing on developing and executing people strategies that aligns with the company’s goals and the towerco business model. This role is critical in shaping the company culture, fostering employee engagement, and driving organizational effectiveness. The Head of HR – Deodar will collaborate closely with senior leadership to design and implement policies that support operational excellence, talent development, and long-term business growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or Master’s degree in HR is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing HR functions within asset-intensive industries, ideally in telecommunications, infrastructure, or related fields.
  • Strong track record of partnering with senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives and organizational change.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Expertise in talent acquisition, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Strong understanding of HR compliance, labor laws, and best practices within a regulated environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Data-driven approach to decision-making with proficiency in HR systems and analytics.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining a strategic perspective.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Provide strategic direction for all HR functions, aligning human capital strategies with Deodar’s business objectives.
  • Partner with the executive team to design and implement workforce plans that support the towerco model, including field operations, technical, commercial & support functions.
  • Drive organizational change initiatives to ensure the company adapts to evolving market demands and business priorities.

Talent Acquisition & Management

  • Develop and implement strategies to attract, hire, and retain top-tier talent, with a focus on operational and technical expertise.
  • Oversee workforce planning, ensuring alignment with deployment and expansion strategies.
  • Lead the onboarding and talent integration process to ensure new hires are equipped to contribute effectively.

Performance Management & Employee Development

  • Design and implement a performance management framework that aligns employee objectives with business goals.
  • Establish continuous learning and development programs to enhance technical capabilities and leadership skills.
  • Oversee succession planning and leadership development to ensure a robust talent pipeline for key positions.

Culture & Employee Engagement

  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and operational excellence, reflecting the towerco business model.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, job satisfaction and retention.
  • Champion diversity and inclusion, ensuring fair and equitable practices across all levels of the organization.

Compensation, Benefits & Compliance

  • Design and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs tailored to the towerco industry.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws, health and safety regulations, and corporate governance standards.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of HR policies that support a high-performance and safety-focused culture.

Operational Excellence & Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Implement HR processes and systems that drive efficiency and support business growth.
  • Use HR analytics to inform decision-making and provide insights on workforce trends, performance, and engagement.
  • Regularly report on key HR metrics and ensure alignment with operational and financial objectives.
